One of the most exciting experiences each Stamps President’s Scholar has is the opportunity to take part in the Stamps Scholars National Convention (SSNC). Every two years, the SSNC is hosted by a group of Stamps Scholars at a Stamps partner school, allowing students a unique hands-on experience in planning a large event for their peers.
Students from each of the 40 partner institutions come together for three days to share ideas and research, participate in business and service challenges, and make valuable connections with scholars from across the country.
A group of Stamps Scholars from the University of Miami organized the first SSNC in 2011 with 110 students from nine different schools in attendance. In 2013, the Convention grew to 228 students from 22 different schools hosted by the University of Michigan. Georgia Tech hosted the event two years later, doubling the size again to approximately 500 students from all 41 schools! The 2015 Convention was such a success that Georgia Tech hosted the Convention again in 2017 and 2019 with over 700 students in attendance.
SSNC will again be hosted by Georgia Tech in Atlanta in April 2023. Stamps Scholars and administrators, be on the lookout for more information and get excited!
