One of the most exciting experiences each Stamps President’s Scholar has the opportunity to partake in is the Stamps Scholars National Convention (SSNC). Every two years SSNC is hosted by a group of Stamps Scholars at a Stamps school allowing students a unique hands on experience in planning a large event for their peers.
Students from each of the 41 partner institutions come together for three days to share ideas and research, participate in business and service challenges, and make valuable connections with scholars from across the country.
A group of Stamps Scholars from the University of Miami organized the first SSNC in 2011 with 110 students from 9 different schools in attendance. In 2013, the Convention grew to 228 students from 22 different schools hosted by the University of Michigan. Two years later, Georgia Tech hosted the event and it doubled in size again to approximately 500 students from all 41 schools!
The 2015 Convention was such a success that Georgia Tech has been asked to host Convention once again in 2017 and are planning for over 700 students from all 41 schools.
SSNC17 will be held April 7-9, 2017. Mark your calendars!
